Outbeat Youth airs once a month on the fourth Sunday as part of the Outbeat Now! radio show. But you can engage with us daily on Facebook, MySpace, and Twitter. Use the links on the right side of this page to find our social networking pages. We regularly post news, events, and fascinating stories from around the country related to LGBT youth. This is information you need to know! Simply “Like” our Facebook page and “Follow Us” on Twitter. You can even get a reminder 15 minutes before ever show airs by “Following Us” on Twitter and then clicking the Twitter mobile notification button to get messages “pushed” out to your phone. It’s easy and free!

In honor of national law enforcement appreciation month, we will be talking with some students currently enrolled in the police academy at Napa Valley College. They will share with us the training they received about how to interact effectively with the LGBT community. We will also hear about what happened in the class when one of their own came out as a gay man.
